Pegasus5 with Thunderbolt™ 5 sets a new high mark for Direct Attached Performance
Thunderbolt™ 5 boasts bidirectional bandwidth up to 80 Gbps including adaptable outbound bandwidth up to 120 Gbps including support for one 8K monitor or two 4K monitors. Thunderbolt™ 5 is compatible with Thunderbolt™ 3 and 4. The new Pegasus5 systems utilize this performance in two different sleek compact desktop storage systems:
- Pegasus5 R12 Pro features a 12 Hard Disk Drive (HDD) high-speed RAID of up to 288 Terabytes plus 4 NVMe drives for 32 Terabytes of additional extreme performance storage, configurable for various RAID types or used as separate drives.
- Pegasus5 M8 features 8 NVMe Solid State Drives (SSD) with various RAID configuration options and up to 64 Terabytes of extremely fast storage capacity. The M8 is very lightweight and compact, especially well-suited to professionals on the go.

PROMISE will showcase both new Pegasus5 storage systems as well as the PegasusPro R8 hybrid NAS/ Thunderbolt™ DAS, ideal for team postproduction workflow efficiency. PegasusPro systems use proprietary PROMISE Technology FileBoost technology which enables file sharing much faster than competing protocols.
The UXP (Unified Extensibility Platform) based PROMISE Plugin for Adobe® Premiere® Pro and PROMISE Plugin for Adobe® Photoshop® will be demonstrated as well. This software feature enables Adobe users to access the Pegasus user interface within the Adobe workspace.
