Promise recently announced that its North American customers can use the new Built-to-Order (BTO) platform – found at Promise’s eStore – to build their Pegasus3 systems with their preferred combination of Solid State Drives (SSD) and Hard Disk drives (HDD). This enables them to create the exact combinations of speed, redundancy and higher capacities they need for their individual workflows.
Those capabilities now extend to Adobe’s suite of powerful video apps. For example, allocating one or more SSDs for cache with Adobe applications, while reserving the spinning disks for capacity, will significantly improve the Adobe applications’ performance, regardless of the host machine’s internal memory.
