What is PegasusPro?

PegasusPro is a true Thunderbolt™ 3 DAS and 10G Ethernet NAS fusion system for a major improvement in workflow efficiency for digital media collaboration. Thunderbolt 3 provides high performance video editing and 10G Ethernet provide seamless media sharing.
Why should you consider adding PegasusPro to your current environment?

PegasusPro provide a feature that enables rapid data transfer from DAS to NAS and vice-versa, called the FileBoost, a huge time saving, performance improvement that is unique in the industry.
Multiple team members can connect to PegasusPro on 4K, even 8K productions; and simultaneously share their work with other team contributors over 10G NAS.
Does PegasusPro work with the M1 chip or Big Sur?

Yes, PegasusPro fully support M1 chip and Big Sur from Jan., 2021. Other Pegasus series (PegasusR4i, Pegasus 32, Pegasus3 and Pegasus2 also support M1 and Big Sur too) To know the details and download the latest driver, please go to: Learn More
What model does PegasusPro offer?

PegasusPro R16 - Recommended for medium to large editing teams. Dual Thunderbolt™ 3 ports, supports up to five 4K concurrent editors and sharing with up to twenty NAS users with 10G Ethernet switch.

PegasusPro R8 - Recommended for small to medium team collaboration. Dual Thunderbolt™ 3 ports, supports collaborative editing of up to three 4K concurrent editors and sharing with up to twenty NAS users sharing with 10G Ethernet switch.
How’s the performance of PegasusPro?

PegasusPro R16 shared-Storage with One Master Host via high speed Thunderbolt 3™ DAS and up to twenty member accounts via 10G Ethernet, the performance can be up to 6,000MB/s throughput concurrently.
Whats the Software featurs on PegasusPro?

Universal PROMISE Utility Pro- Easy-to-use, Plug and play utility and driver to simplify data administration and user access.

FileBoost™ -Seamlessly convert media from DAS to NAS and vice-versa. Reducing hours of troublesome transferring and sharing time to just one-click.

Application Ecosystem - Good match with Apple Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premier Pro, DaVinci, AVID and more Post Production Softwares

Data Protection - PegasusPro R16 and R8 offers enterprise level of RAID configuration, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, to protect data.

1. Start to Use Thunderbolt DAS

First download and install the hardware driver from Download Center

Turn on PegasusPro
Connect the Thunderbolt 3 cable
Pre-configured DAS volumes will appear on the desktop

2. Start to Use Shared Volume

Connecting Ethernet cables to your network
DHCP to assign IP automatically
Launch PegasusPro Utility on your desktop
Utility will find the PegasusPro in your network
Login as administrator
- User name: admin
- Password: admin

3. How to Configure PegasusPro

Access to WebPAM InSight via PegasusPro IP
Login as administrator/password
Create and check “Pool list” for RAID level
Set “Team Volume” on created Pool
Add “Team Folder” on team volume
Add “User Account” on selected team volume
Default “Public” folder allows all accounts to access
Default “Home” folder allows individual account to access

4.How to enable FileBoost

FileBoost: Copy or Move files between select DAS and Shared volume (under team folder)

Login Pegasus Utility Pro and select shared folder

Step 1: Click “FileBoost” button

Step 2: Select “Copy or Move” files
